Hi, I’m Hannah.
I’m a twenty year-old reader pursuing an English degree in snowy Buffalo, New York. It sounds cliche, but words are my passion; when I’m not reading, I’m most likely writing a paper for class or working at my local bookstore.
I started blogging at Hannah and Her Books on October 11, 2017 while craving an outlet to serve as my reading journal, a casual place to share my thoughts on the books I’ve read.
Book-wise, I’m a big fan of first-person narratives with memorable characters, literary prose, unpredictable plots, and incredible ambiance. I love sprawling, multi-generational family sagas and books that follow multiple perspectives across a long period of time. A handful of favorites include EVERYTHING I NEVER TOLD YOU by Celeste Ng, CONVERSATIONS WITH FRIENDS by Sally Rooney, and LINCOLN IN THE BARDO by George Saunders.
Most often, you can catch me reading this year’s awards longlistees, short story collections from my favorite authors, buzzy essay collections, guilty-pleasure romantic comedies, eye-opening investigative journalism, or the latest book club pick from Reese Witherspoon or Belletrist.
