Hey! I’m Hannah, and as you can probably tell, I am an avid reader. I’ve devoured books for as long as I can remember, with my love for the written word only growing since childhood. Along with being a book blogger, I am also a bookseller, a library volunteer, and an English major with experience in the publishing world as an intern. You could say that I struggle to find time for pleasure-reading… but when I do manage to finish a book that’s not for class (or work), you can guarantee that I’ll want to share my thoughts on it here!
My favorite kinds of books are first-person narratives with memorable characters, literary prose, unpredictable plots, and incredible ambiance. I love sprawling, multi-generational family sagas and books that follow multiple perspectives across a long period of time. A handful of favorites (in no particular order) include: Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng, A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne, The Nix by Nathan Hill, The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson, and, of course, the Harry Potter series.
